NEW Mary J. Blige & Maxwell Albums FREE!!!

Last fall, I went to see Mary J. Blige and Maxwell in concert and a few weeks after the event learned I would be receiving a complimentary copy of each of their albums to enjoy! I received my copy of Maxwell's album Black Summers' Night last year. After listening to his latest project I have a few more Maxwell favorites to add to my list :) Listen to tracks 3 & 6

The Mary J. Blige was scheduled to arrive around the same time but didn't arrive last year. I really love her new track, Thick of It, so I was disappointed when it didn't show.

Last week, I received an update on MJB's album release date and my CD shipment status. I also have a complete track list of the Strength of Woman album. Check it out below :)

I can't wait to hear Mary share her love and pain with this new project. She has collaborated with some new artists I haven't heard of (Kaytranada) and some of my favorites too (Missy Elliott and DJ Khaled). If they are working with MJB I know they are bringing some good to the table.

Keep the Promise- Cleveland 2016

Summer 2016 was jam packed, from start to finish, and I have decided to share a few highlights with you all! One of my favorite events to attend was, Keep the Promise 2016. This event took place at the same time the RNC was in Cleveland this July.
I hadn't heard of this event before but when I learned it was a FREE concert with a global cause I knew I wanted to participate. Read on to learn more about the @KTP2016 Cleveland event and what the Keep the Promise is all about.

I had the opportunity to attend this FREE event and enjoy some of the best performers, speakers and entertainers of our time while hearing about political and social issues that impact our local and global communities. The line up of guests was simply phenomenal, everyone who spoke, including lesser known guests were articulate and enlightened me about AIDS awareness (@SoledadOBrien), African American male infant mortality in Ohio (thanks @kapsi1911), the Green Party (courtesy of Dr. Cornell West) and so much more.

During all of the excitement, I was able to capture some precious images that will serve as mementos for me to stay conscious of AIDS awareness in our world, the importance of exercising my right to vote and know that even the stars take time to show their dedication and so should we. I invite you to take a look, consider attending any Keep the Promise events in your area and to make a promise to the future today!
