They served five courses each paired with a different type of beer to complement the food selection. I'm not a beer drinker so hops, no hops, IPA, etc. is totally meaningless to me but my husband enjoyed it all! I did have a nice cold bottle of Moscato that seems to go well with the spinach dip, hummus, and even dessert :)
The train ride lasted for two hours and along with the food and drink, our car had party lights, lots of upbeat music and even a dancing section! I have been on the @CVSRR before but never in the party car so when they started passing out the glow sticks I knew fun was at the next stop.
These types of events are scheduled throughout the year and the average cost is $50 to $60 dollars per person ( I received a discounted rate of $20 with my group). Our conductor told us that they are already preparing for The Polar Express events which are always fun for the entire family!
Check out a few images below and catch a ride on the @CVSRR if you are ever in the area.
