About this time last year, my mother-in-love and I attended The Comedy Get Down World Tour and bust a gut laughing with D.L. Hughley, Charlie Murphy, Cedric the Entertainer, Eddie Griffin and George Lopez. Two years ago, my husband and I saw Charlie Murphy at The Improv, see the blog post here.
Although Charlie Murphy didn't look himself, at either event, I was not expecting him to pass away this year. I was completely stunned and saddened. He was a great addition to The Chappelle Show, especially the Rick James story line. He worked until the end and kept us laughing along the way.
