Author, actress and activist, (yes I'm an #alliterationaddict), Gabrielle Union will be sharing her thoughts about life topics and her New York Times Bestsellers book this weekend at @BNCrockerPark. Her book, titled "We're Going to Need More Wine: Stories That Are Funny, Complicated, and True was released on October 17 last year and has received rave reviews (see hashtag above lol).
@ItsGabrielleU recently became a Clevelander when her husband, Dwyane Wade came to play for the Cavaliers and speaking for the women in the city, I feel like we even got a good deal with the trade! So while praying that our winter weather, especially last week, doesn't scare her off I'll be braving the elements to hear more about her experiences and how they impacted her perspective to create the woman I admire today.
I had a great time talking with several of the women in line about their favorite parts of the book and why they love the New York Times Bestseller author. The theme that rang true for everyone in regards to the book was the personal tone used in her stories. “You feel like she’s talking to you”, “she makes you laugh out loud”,” “she pulls at your heartstrings and really keeps you engaged” we’re just some of the comments I heard. The first one was from a women who said she’s not a reader but couldn’t put this book down.
After making my purchase I headed upstairs to see the layout for the afternoon event so I’d be prepared when I returned.
The Diamond Lifestyle Blog for videos from the event.
