Super Saturdays @BeckCenter has become a traditional family summer stop before my son was in pre-school. Now as a second grader, he still enjoys the FREE arts programming offered each year, in fact the whole family does. This past weekend we attended another exciting Super Saturday and I may have actually had more fun than he did :)
We started off by listening to a great concert with other local families but my little one was more interested in getting his hands on the drums afterwards. Once we played a few beats on the percussion instruments we moved on the arts and crafts table where we each made our own marble necklace. I really enjoyed this easy craft and received three compliments on my creation while I ran errands across the city. We also had the opportunity to decorate a few smooth stones that I'm currently using in my office as personalized paperweights. After that we headed outside to visit the foods truck and do some sidewalk art. The time flew by but we came home with some good memories and handmade goodies that we can enjoy well beyond the summer season.
